The Coach's Corner/ Over the Top

 

I recently heard of a group of parents who pooled their money and

constructed a batting cage complex for their kids. It has 6 batting tunnels

with machines, pitching mounds, space for defensive work.  You have heard

me talk about the necessity of young ballplayers participating in a home training

program but that may be over the top! It must be nice to have that kind of money

to pour into your kid’s baseball but it’s not wise or necessary.


Homework is important but a routine of simple but effective drills is


All a young player needs. Expensive batting cages do not get you to the pros.
