A coach should never coach "down". The one play a young

player is guaranteed not to make is the one

which he is not taught because you don't think he can make

it. You will be amazed the plays kids can execute if taught

and if trying to execute costs a game, so what.


By the way, I never speak to the team about winning.

Winning is beyond our control. The team should focus on

playing the best that they can and improving their

skills. The wins take care of themselves.
