The Coach's Corner / Dilusional

Delusional Parents

I have dealt with many parents who have enjoyed success at the higher levels

of sports. Ex MLB, pros, major D1 players and never have I found one to

be delusional about their son's abilities. They have been to the mountain.

They know what it takes. They know how very hard it is to play to the highest level.

It is the parents of players who themselves never went beyond the lower levels

who delude themselves. They don't know how very, very hard it is.
