The Coach's Corner/Varsity Sports

Let's say 100 kids start playing baseball, softball, basketball or any similar team sport at age six

and there is only one league feeding into a high school. Their senior year of high school,

on average 5 or 6 will still be playing. What happened to the other 95?

Why did they leave the game? The distraction of teen years plus a finite number

of spots for these sports on the high school varsity rosters.
